Positions

We have an ongoing need for the positions listed in the sidebar and we interview year-round throughout Canada for these positions.

For employment on board, you must have two years of related experience. For example, front desk personnel (pursers), need two years experience and/or training in a hotel, and photographers would require two years experience in photography.

Most of our cruise ship contracts include six months onboard, then one to two months at home. Management positions usually serve four months onboard with two months at home and then back to sea again. If you are not sure which position would suit you best, send us your application and we can go over the options with you.

Seasonal Staff

We also have an ongoing need for seasonal, one week to three month positions for youth staff and youth supervisors during holiday periods when we have more children/youth onboard. We occasionally have seasonal youth positions available with contracts as long as six months.

As Youth Staff you will assist our full time staff with onboard youth activities. Youth Security ensures that everyone is having a good time while ensuring that the shipboard policies are adhered to.

To qualify, you must have one-two years experience with children in a group setting or formal teaching experience (teachers college, early childhood development training, or camp counseling). Many of our staff are teachers or teachers-in-training, early childhood educators, outdoor recreation staff, camp counselors, lifeguards.

General Contract Details

All positions require a minimum 2 years related experience.
Minimum age for applicants is 21 years old.
Youth Activity Staff positions are 1-8 week assignments during school holidays.

Cruise Ship Positions

Boutique Staff and Managers
Must have relevant experience in retail sales in giftware, jewelry, clothing, fragrances or cosmetics.
Chefs
The state of the art galleys onboard are very busy indeed. If you are up to the challenge and have high volume and high end experience, then this could be where you belong. We are always seeking experienced Chefs, Sous Chefs, and Pastry Chefs for well paying and challenging positions onboard.
Computer Officers
There are a wide range of systems onboard that you will be responsible for maintaining, everything from inventory systems to point of sales machines, reservation systems and the Internet and business centre areas. You will usually have an assistant but you will be the one to problem solve most issues so a strong general background is essential.
Corporate Trainers
You will be teaching some of the courses that the cruise line offers their onboard staff. This position is 4 months onboard, then 2 months of vacation and back again A teaching or training background is a necessary requirement for this very busy job.
Cruise Staff
You love to entertain! Cruise Staff handle tournaments, games, activities and public speaking. High energy level and live mic or entertainment experience is an asset.
Cruise Staff DJ's
Interviews being held shortly for Cruise Staff DJ’s for major cruise line – must have 2 years dj experience and/or training combo. Able to MC events and have good technical skills
Customer Relations Manager
This officer level position requires you to work with the Customer Services Director to monitor and solicit comments from passengers . You will be responsible for the Concierge Officer and the front desk agents. You will also be involved in staff appraisals and promotions. There is a great deal of passenger interaction in this position and it is necessary to have had previous cruise ship experience in customer service position.
Entertainers
Are you a musician, pianist, vocalist, or other entertainer? Short- and long-term assigments are available for you. Relevant experience is necessary. Please send bio, picture and video or music samples with your application.
Entertainment Production Managers
Required for ships sailing in Europe and Caribbean – must have strong background with entertainment venues – this is a 4 month on and 2 month off position.
